Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Her career path has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European concerts and festivals and even to the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine, whose given name was Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church, where she sang and was a pianist. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. Since then, it has been re-mixed and is now component of her set. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. She became the primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls show during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became famous in the performances that took place over four days in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine went on to sing at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
