Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive hairstyle and her pumped up personality, provides simple techniques that any person can master. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Early on, while living in the the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went following her graduation with an English diploma and Communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she says. I couldn't study or accomplish enough. After graduation, chef Burrell went on to spend one period of time in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. She gained a deeper understanding of Italian culture and cuisine during her stay in Italy, which has influenced the way she cooks. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell is on the road to share her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne has said throughout her professional career that she feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to share with others what is truly important to her.
